Dear Achayen, we will miss you. Thank you for your help while we came this country. Your love and care for us was commendable. One day we will meet again at the shore. RIP.
Dearest Achayan, while your physical journey may have ended, you will never be forgotten. We will all miss you dearly. Until we meet again, may you rest in His Heavenly presence. We love you 💞
Komatt Achayan has been a part of our family since we migrated to the United States in 1986. Our acquaintance was through one of Achayan’s nephews, Joychayan, who is married to one of our relatives. Our relationship remained ongoing through visits and phone calls until we moved to Lakeland Florida in 2019. However, we still kept our relationship through phone calls. In the Summer of 2023, we were able to visit him at the Rehabilitation center and we spent some time with him. He asked us to sing a hymn and pray with him.
Of note, we remember his helping hand in finding our first home in Philadelphia, which happened to be a house a few streets over from where he lived and only walking distance to his home. We were in the same prayer group in Church and were frequent visitors to his home. He also took time and effort to teach my wife, Lalitha, driving lessons and saw her through until she passed the driver’s exam.
Achayan’s passing is a great loss for us. Ever since Ammamma called us and informed us about his condition and hospitalization, we have been praying for him and the family.
We believers have hope that this is not the end of our life. As Bible says To be Abscent from the body is to be present with the Lord. We shall see him on the other shore.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Ammamma, Aji, Susan, Chris, Maya, Christopher and all the extended family.
With prayers and love
Mathew, Lalitha and family.
Komatt has been our family friend since he came to USA. He was very close to us and whenever we met, he would check on everyone’s whereabouts with concern. I noticed that he respected our church and our vicar during our days of ecumenical services and continued that respect since then. His love and respect for the Valya Thirumeni of Marthoma Church always came up during our conversations and narrated his father’s close friendship with Thirumeni. Certainly we will miss his inquiries about our children and siblings with true love. May his soul join with the angels in heaven.
